As 2024 comes to a close, we’re thrilled to reflect on an extraordinary year here at FYC Labs!
2024 was an eventful and transformative year for FYC and our Fractal Group. We were fortunate to work with incredible clients and partners who kept us busy with exciting projects and opportunities. 2024 didn’t just mark 12 years in business for FYC. Major Product Launches from Our Accelerator
FYC Labs supported the launch of two of Fractal Group’s groundbreaking internal products: DealSend and Accru. These innovations are just an extent to our commitment of addressing market needs and empowering businesses with practical solutions.
DealSend is revolutionizing the deal flow process by providing founders and investors with an intuitive platform that streamlines everything from introductions to exits, while Accru offers a simplified approach to handling payments, designed with the empathy born from our experiences. The launch of these products has us excited for the future. They are reinforcing our mission to foster innovation and support the entrepreneurial spirit.
AI Projects That Mean Business!
We developed pAIge, an AI-powered coach, and uses AI to generate dynamic content for landing pages, enhancing SEO. This approach led to significant improvements, not just on our clients’ pages, but also on our own websites and portfolio sites.
Alongside this, we’ve integrated AI into our tool Spellbox to support code completion, prediction, and explanation, boosting our development efficiency. We’ve been expanding its memberships and continually improving the product.
Exciting Collaborations
• We continued to grow our partnership with MStreetX, which is providing capital access to small businesses through federally funded programs like SSPCI.
• Collaborated with Baldwin Risk Partners in Tampa on a major AWS migration and enterprise solution implementation.
• Despite difficulties with hurricane troubles and major flooding, we collaborated with Lighthouse Houston to create a website for their wonderful church.
• Partnered with Kevin O’Leary at WonderCare to develop a product for insuring luxury goods.
• We expanded our collaboration with our friends over at OpenGrants, dramatically increasing their monthly recurring revenue.
• Also launched some excellent websites in collaboration with our partners at Augustine, Prospio PR, and RSE in Sacramento.
We’re incredibly proud to partner with three of the top PR and creative agencies in Sacramento, especially as we celebrate the recognition of #3 fastest-growing business in the region. This recognition highlights the strength of the local, homegrown community we’ve built and continue to nurture.
Launched several impactful websites and web/moble apps, including:
• 220 Leadership, a leadership consulting business.
• USAopoly, a fun e-commerce brand specializing in board games.
Innovative Tech Development
• Continued working with our friends from Mantis XR to create in-browser 3D experiences.
• Advanced the Hexos platform with a new client portal for managing patent renewals and trademarks.
Strategic Partnerships and Security Enhancements
• Partnered with Observea to deliver cloud-based private LLMs for enterprise clients, maintaining data privacy while leveraging cutting-edge AI models.
• Collaborated with Momentum X as their strategic development partner for their venture studio.
• Leveraged Attack Vector to strengthen cybersecurity and protect against rising cyber threats in 2024.
Team Growth and Leadership Development
We are excited to share that Aaron Platt has stepped up as our Head of Web Development! Ross Birdsall now leads our Mobile Development team. Aaron and Ross bring a wealth of experience and creativity, reinforcing our reputation for delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.
Matt Loughran has joined us as a Fractional CMO, supporting our strategic growth initiatives. Matt’s expertise and forward-thinking approach align perfectly with our mission to drive innovation and excellence at FYC Labs and Fractal Group.
Community Engagement and Events
Our team attended Scaling New Heights to explore the market for our product Accru and to connect with early adopters like bookkeepers and accountants. We also joined LA Tech Week and South by Southwest, staying active in the founder-funder and entertainment/dev communities. At incredible events such as Startup Grind, SaaStr, and the GFX Venture Summit, we connected with industry leaders.
We also supported our media agency FYM at EDC Las Vegas as they secured a major contract with Live Nation.
Our team proudly sponsored TedXFolsom to give back to the local community and support the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Folsom, California. In addition, we’ve been active members of Greater Sacramento Economic Council (GSEC) and partnered with Granite City Coworking to host seminars.
We joined CodeLaunch Accelerator once again, this time in Minneapolis, MN, further demonstrating our commitment to innovation and local growth. As a last event of the year, we attended their World Championship in Dallas! There we had the opportunity to join an investor table alongside some of our Fractal friends.
